¡Hola! Bonjour! I’m María, a qualified and enthusiastic language teacher with over 10 years of experience in teaching languages. I have taught at both state and independent schools, including Bedford School and Rossall School, and I continue to prepare students from leading British schools in the UK and abroad for their language exams.
I specialise in Spanish and French GCSE, A-Level and IB preparation, offering personalised guidance to help each student achieve exam success. Alongside exam tuition, I also teach Spanish, French and English to learners of all ages — whether you want to study for fun, prepare for travel, or improve your language skills for business.
I believe languages are alive and should be learned through practice, not just theory. My approach is practical, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s goals, making language learning both effective and enjoyable.
I hold a teaching qualification from International House (recognised by the University of Barcelona), a Master’s in teaching Art and Languages (Spanish PGCE equivalent), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts.
